Demo Updates and NEXT FEST 2023


Over the past 6 months, we have been adhering to our road map to the tee, determined to finish Star Hearts: Launch Point on schedule. 

For Next Fest and our second attempt at a funding campaign, we have some QoL and GFX updates that can be seen in our upcoming demo build.

Revival Ravine

- Added leaf effects!

- Updated set dressing

- Updated level flow

- Blocked ability-dependent shortcuts to avoid confusion

Bug Fixes

- Start screen to Gene's first dialogue was ignoring audio level settings

- Smoothed out multiple hit box issues with player

- Weird camera snaps in cut scenes

Quality of Life

- Changed pass through platform command to down + Jump (tap down is an option in menus)

- Added a visual on the player indicating that a new respawner filled the player's HP

- Added a visual twirl to Prin during I-Frames

^ Bonus time slow down if you avoid damage while in I-Frames

We have been very grateful for the feedback we have received since the demo was released. These are our best efforts to address most of those concerns (a map system for the primary planetoids is still in the works), and add a little extra. This is the bar for all our adventure levels and we hope you are satisfied with the results.

Star Hearts: Launch Point is on track since our initial campaign and SHOULD release by the end of this year.
